Slow Cooker Cuban Pork

Ingredients

  • 2tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pound pork shoulder
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 cloves garlic , minced
  • 2 leaves bay
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch(optional)
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rub dry seasoning on meat and sear
  2. Dump into crockpot
  3. Cook on low 8 hours or high 4 hours
Verdict - this was pretty tasty, and we'll definitely make it again. I didn't thicken it, just pulled the pork out and shredded before serving.
